The study of the Holy Scriptures is a life-time task for followers of Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “  All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”

 

Hope currently offers several weekly opportunities for Bible Study:

Sundays  9:45 am – 10:45 am

Children & Youth

Sunday School: PK3 through 5th Grade. Meets in Rooms 214-218.  We are using the  "Simply Loved" curriculum from Group Publishing. "Simply Loved" strategically gives kids a Christ-centered, foundational journey through God's story of love. Each quarter explores Biblical truths from the Old and New Testaments.       

 

Confirmation:  Level 1 - Old Testament; Level 2 - New Testament; Level 3 - Luther's Small Catechism (Confirmation meets from 9:45 to 10:45 am in rooms 101-103.)

 

High School Bible Study: 9th-12th Grade. Senior High Bible study focuses on exploring God in the everyday hurdles, triumphs and what-in-the-world was that of high school.  Join us Sunday mornings to navigate life from a faith perspective. We meet in the youth room, 9:45-10:45.

 

Young Adult Bible Study (offered on student holidays):

Led by Emily Groeper & Andrew Groeper, Meets in the Senior Pastor's Office, 9:45-10:45

Young Adult Bible study is open to post high school through 20 somethings.  We will explore Maxwell's "21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" through a faith lens.

Whether you are staying local or only coming to town occasionally, you're always welcome to join!

Men's Ministry Bible Class - Lutheran Doctrine and Practice Today

Led by Scott Butler, Meets in Room 221

 

Adult Bible Study - History of Christianity in America

Led by Chris Riggs, Meets in Room 220

Survey the history of Christianity in America. Understanding the past can help us face the challenges of the present.

 

Parenting Bible Study - Effective Parenting in a Defective World by Chip Ingram

Led by Emilie Cain & Ashleigh Grape, Meets in the Office Conference Room

"Chip Ingram's practical tips for modeling right living, building strong bonds, and disciplining effectively will help parents bringing up Christ-centered kids who feel secure and significant no matter what comes their way. The book features practical, age-appropriate parenting tips, charts/diagrams, and action steps."

 

Parents of Young Adults Bible Study -  "Keeping the Faith; A Study of the Small Catechism"

Led by Kasi Culwell, Meets in the Senior Pastor's Office

"Keeping the Faith is a guide to help you understand and apply the Christian faith as presented in Luther's Small catechism."

Thursday’s at 9:30 am

Study Series Group led by Pastor Jon - Paul's Epistle to the Ephesians. This class is focused on an in-depth study of the Sriptures and the Faith.  We study in a slow and methodical manner - taking time to explore all the details.  There is plenty of room for discussion and comment by the group.
